Marriage & Couples Counseling

Couples counseling provides an in depth look at communication patterns, goals, dreams and desires both as individuals and as a couple, to assist in shaping and creating the connection you want in your marriage. Chelsea’s training is through the Gottman Institute with their science based couples counseling, with over 40 years of research honing in on what makes a relationship work utilizing the Sound Relationship House and a thorough relationship assessment. Chelsea is a Certified Gottman Therapist who is passionate about relationships and guiding couples into intimate connection and personal growth.

Amber is trained in the Gottman Method, and is providing assessment and treatment utilizing this approach with her couples, helping them seek connection and better ways to manage conflict. She is now offering premarital counseling as well. Starting off your relationship with a strong foundation and a set of tools to help you navigate communication and conflict in order to build a lifetime of love together.

Sean enjoys working with couples from an Attachment based perspective, weaving in Gottman Method tools to help couples find a deeper sense of connection with the goal of secure attachment. Sean uses his experience working with family systems to help create a solid foundation of friendship within the relationship.

Pre-Marital Counseling

Going into the unity of a lifelong commitment with another human being can be challenging. The beginning of a relationship can feel like a fairy tale and it is easy to not see our future spouse as clearly as we should. We want to help you go into your marriage with your eyes wide open. Insight into each other and ourselves is essential in the relationship journey. This is not easy and you need an excellent guide to help you get started on the right path. Insights gained from premarital/commitment counseling can help the two of you understand each other, leading to encouraging growth for you as an individual and for the relationship. Contact Amber.

New Parents

Whether you are considering expanding your family or you already have, the transition into parenthood can cause unexpected emotions and reactions from both partners. There is a dynamic shift in the comfortable pattern that once was known. Even with the best intentions, most partners are thrown into an unknown territory and often it is hard to navigate through these waters alone. By exploring ones own upbringing and attachment style, we can help bring answers to the differences in communication and child rearing and find middle ground where both partners can feel seen and heard. Adolescents

Sean’s heart is in his work with pre-teens and adolescents. He enjoys meeting kids where they’re at, coming alongside them and giving them tools to navigate this in-depth developmental period of their lives. Sean brings his own energy and passion to the work he does with middle school and high schoolers.

Alyssa brings her knowledge and experience working in the school systems, to supporting kids and adolescents in their most complex season of life. She loves to help kids explore their inner world and find ways to help them connect with others in meaningful ways.

Family and Parenting Counseling- Parenting can be challenging. If you are struggling as a new parent, or have been at it for a while and just need some help connecting with your child, we have the tools to help you succeed. Through family counseling, our team’s focus is holistic and works with your family’s goals and helps each member gain tools to enhance communication and connection.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling provides a unique opportunity to have a witness and guide to the life experiences we encounter each day. Counseling can provide a guide if you are seeking to process your childhood, integrate past traumas, need help with professional goals, are living with anxiety or depression, ADD, ADHD, or need support in the context of eating, mood or personality disorders.

Play Based Therapy

We are now offering play based therapy for a younger population at our clinic. Alyssa loves working with littles and finds it a joy to connect during these early and informative stages of development, helping children learn about their emotions and find ways to express themselves. Play based therapy is great for kiddos ages 3-10.

No Surprises Act

Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to give patients who do not have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of their bill for medical items and services before those items and services are provided. You have the right to receive a Good Faith estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure that your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within the proper time frame:
When you schedule care 0-2 business days in advance, you are not entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate.
When you schedule 3-9 business days in advance, you will receive an estimate within one business day of scheduling.
When you schedule 10 or more days in advance, you will receive an estimate within three business days of scheduling.

You can also ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
They must provide it within three business days.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and the bill.
